I’m Zach Bechtold—an Ordained United Methodsit Pastor, End-of-Life Doula (NEDA Proficient), listener, and compassionate companion for life’s most meaningful moments. Whether you're planning a wedding, honoring a loved one’s life, or navigating the sacred journey at the end of life, I’m here to hold space with care, empathy, and presence.
Rooted in the beautiful landscapes of Bozeman, Montana, I’ve spent more than a decade serving individuals and families as a pastor, officiant, and now as an end-of-life doula. I hold a Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology, and I bring both theological grounding and deep personal compassion to every ceremony and encounter.
With experience in both joyful celebrations and tender farewells, I aim to create personalized experiences that reflect your story, your values, and your hopes. I believe in the power of presence and the sacredness of every chapter—from beginnings to endings.
I honor all spiritual paths and traditions, and I’m fully inclusive and affirming of LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, and families—because everyone deserves to be celebrated and supported in life’s sacred moments.
Outside of this work, I love exploring Montana’s mountains with my family, enjoying live music, and sharing good meals with friends.
From sacred vows to final farewells, I believe every moment matters—and everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and honored.
This is your hub to keep up with all the ways I’m showing up in the world. You’ll find my latest sermons, reflections, and teachings—whether I’m preaching at Bozeman UMC or sharing thoughts from the road. You can also tune into the Bearded Theologians Podcast, where faith and real life meet with a little humor and a lot of heart, and the Called To Do Good Podcast, where we explore all the ways we’re invited to do good in the world. Whether you’re here for thoughtful conversation, spiritual grounding, or a fresh take on faith in action—you’re in the right place.
